Minister Wahidi: Syria at the Frontline of Confronting Zionist Enemy
Iranian Defense Minister General Ahmad Wahidi said that Syria is located on the frontline of the confrontation with the Zionist enemy, adding that the western threats are in the framework of defending "Israel".
In this context, Minister Wahidi called upon the NATO to not interfere in Syria's internal affairs.
Furthermore, Minister Ahmad Wahidi referred to the baseless threats imposed by the enemies against Iran, emphasizing that those enemies are aware that they cannot counter Iran.
"Today, we are witnessing the declining power of the US and "Israel" more than ever before but they are making baseless remarks against Iran to divert the global public opinion from the problems faced by the West and the "Israeli" regime", he affirmed.
On another level, General Wahidi stated his country will manufacture long-range air-defense systems in line with the country's plans to achieve self-sufficiency.
After the Iranian Air Force held the final day of massive three-phased aerial drills (Defenders of WIlaya Sanctuaries 3), Minister Wahidi told reporters on Thursday that the design and production of long-range air-defense system has been on the agenda of Iran's Defense Ministry.
"Iran is currently manufacturing low-range and mid-range air-defense systems inside the country", Iranian Defense Minister noted, according to IRNA.
He further indicated that the domestically-manufactured systems in missile, marine and ground sectors are more powerful in comparison with previous ones.
