Turkey Hunts Down “Israeli” Commandos on Social Networks
Turkish intelligence officials submitted to their state a list including 174 names of "Israelis", mostly soldiers, who were involved in the 2010 raid against the Gaza-bound Freedom Flotilla, Sabah Turkish newspaper reported on Monday.
"Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tops the list as the "primary responsible party", Yedioth Ahronoth added.
The Turkish newspaper report noted that the "Israeli" names were identified from photographs and various media sources.
"Almost all of the "Israeli" soldiers who killed nine Turkish citizens and injured 30 others have been identified", the report affirmed.
Previously last month, the Turkish Justice Ministry demanded the "Israeli" government to release a list naming the individuals responsible of the naval attack, however the "Israeli" did not respond to the Turkish request.
According to the report, social networks like Facebook and Twitter were also used to hunt down information about collaborating "Israelis".
The Turkish online hunting team matched names of the commandos' members taking part in the May 31, 200 raid, to their names and photos on Facebook and Twitter.
Moreover, the report also stated that there are some "Israeli" officials who were involved in the attack, whether directly or indirectly, including "Israeli" Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, and War Minister Ehud Barak.
