In a sixth attack after the toppling of the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, a gas line supplying "Israel" and Jordan with gas was blown up in the Egyptian Sinai Tuesday.

"Y Net News" quoted a witness informing investigators that he saw three men jumping out of a small truck at a pumping station in southwest of the city of el-Arish, and opened fire on the pipeline.

This was followed by a large explosion heard across the city and witnesses said 15-metre high flames could be seen shooting up from the pipeline.

Previous attacks have already disrupted gas deliveries to "Israel" several times, but it was not immediately clear what impact the latest attack would have on supplies to the Zionist entity.

Egypt supplies 43 percent of "Israel's" natural gas and 40 percent of "Israel's" electricity comes from this source.

The new authorities in Cairo is in the process of reviewing all its gas contracts with "Israel" signed under Mubarak.

An "Israeli" army spokeswoman announced Friday that "Israeli" units along the southern border with Egypt were ordered on high alert for fear of what she named as "terrorist attack."

"Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has in recent weeks repeatedly warned "Israelis" of avoiding travelling to Egypt.
