Erdogan: Why is “Israel” Allowed to Have Nukes?
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyeb Erdogan affirmed that the West is practicing double standards regarding the "Israeli" nuclear arms.
Furthermore, in an interview with CNN on Sunday, Erdogan noted that "Israel" is the only party in the Middle East that possesses nuclear weapons.
"Why is it that countries banning Iran from having nuclear weapons don't also ban "Israel" from having nuclear weapons?" Erdogan wondered.
This comes amid downgraded ties with "Israel" after the latter refused to apologize for its assault on the Gaza-bound Freedom Flotilla, which killed nine Turkish activists.
Moreover, Turkey's PM also referred to Turkey's decision to host the "NATO concept" as he names it, warning against the different interpretation of this decision.
The Turkish move to host a NATO missile shield system brought some concerns to some regional nations, including Iran and Russia. The future of such decision is not clear so far.
