A New York Times article published on Wednesday criticized the "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's policy regarding the resumption of West Bank settlement activities, referring to them as a "national suicide policy".

Furthermore, the article considered in this regard that "Israel's" leaders seem to be the entity's worst enemy.
The columnist who wrote the piece, Nicolas D. Kristof, harshly criticized Netanyahu for leading a policy that turned "Israel" away from the so-called path of peace, affirming that ""Israel" was endangered most by its leaders and maximalist stance".

Kristof's article further read, "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is isolating his country, and, to be blunt, his hard line on settlements seems like a national suicide policy".
On the level of the "Israeli" West Bank settlement activities, Kristof noted that "nothing was more corrosive than "Israel's" growth of settlements because they erode hope of a peace agreement in the future".

In the light of the latest events that occurred amid a Palestinian statehood bid at the UN, the New York Times columnist also criticized the Zionist Premier for his conduct after US President Barack Obama's support of the "Israeli" entity at the UN.

Kristof believed that the US President has given "Israel" a great deal of support, while "instead of showing appreciation to President Obama, Mr. Netanyahu thumbed him in the eye", with reference to a US denunciation of settlement construction resumption.
