Minister Wahidi Announces Iran to Develop New Fighter Jet

Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Wahidi announced that his country has launched a new project that aims at designing and building a new advanced fighter jet, IRNA reported.
General Wahidi affirmed that Iran gained considerable experience through its production of the home-made Saeq (Thunderbolt) and Azarakhsh (Lightening) fighter jets.
Moreover, Iranian Defense Minister indicated that the design and production of advanced home-made fighter jets reveal the ability of Iran's defense industries and prove the vainness of the US-led sanctions imposed on Iran.
