Victory is a matter of patience.

After three years of the Iron aggression on the Gaza Strip and five years of the captive of "Israeli" soldier Gilad Shalit, the Palestinian resistance has succeeded in recording a victory on the Zionist enemy.

"Israel" has surrendered and understood the new equation Shalit in exchange for more than a thousand Palestinian prisoners, and that's what took place.

Hamas and "Israel" announced an agreement on late Tuesday to exchange more than 1,000 Palestinian prisoners for the "Israeli" soldier Shalit held captive in Gaza for five years.

From the Syrian capital, Damascus, Khaled Meshal, the political leader of Hamas, said in a televised address that the negotiations had been "very, very difficult" describing the deal as "a national accomplishment that augured well for the Palestinians, who hoped to cleanse the land, liberate al-Quds, and unite the Palestinian ranks."

Meshal said that the total freed Palestinians would be 1,027, among them 315 prisoners serving life sentences and 27 women.

A senior Hamas official in Cairo also confirmed the deal.

For his part, "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Shalit, who was captured in June 2006, could be returned within days."

"Netanyahu, convened an urgent meeting Tuesday night with his government to approve the deal," said an "Israeli" official..

Netanyahu, whose government voted 26 to 3 in favor of the prisoner swap, said he felt it important to move on the deal now, given what he called the "storms in the Middle East."

Meanwhile, an "Israeli" official said on Tuesday that his entity had sent a letter of apology to Egypt for the deaths of several Egyptians in August.

According to an "Israeli" television, "Israel" would first release 450 prisoners as Shalit is sent to Egypt, possibly in a week. Two months later, the television said, the remaining prisoners would be released. None of the details could be confirmed officially.
