Mehmanparast: US Scenario Against Iran, Weak
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast stated that Washington's latest allegations against Tehran represent a weak scenario in the US approach against Iran, in reference to US accusation that Iran was plotting to assassination of the Saudi ambassador to the US.
During a meeting with a number of Russian experts and journalists, Mehmanparast indicated, "The scenario demonstrates that the United States has adopted a new strategy towards Iran, which is so weak".
Furthermore, the Foreign Ministry Spokesman noted that some challenges have put the US in a difficult situation, IRIB news agency reported.
"The social and economic crises that erupted due to the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq, the developments in the Middle East, and the fear of losing regional allies compounded by domestic problems were among the challenges facing the US", Mehmanparast added.
He went on to say that the US has been for a while concerned of the failure of its schemes, especially as it seeks destabilization in the Middle East.
Earlier this week, the US Justice Department accused of Iran of plotting the assassination of Saudi Arabia's Ambassador Adel al-Jubeir, with help from a Mexican drug group.
