The European Union (EU) expressed on Thursday deep regret after "Israel" decided to demolish a West Bank mosque in the village of Khirbet Yarza for the third time.

In this context, the EU urged the "Israeli" entity to reexamine its policies practiced in the Area C; which is under the control of the "Israeli" occupation, AFP reported.
In a joint statement, the EU missions in al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Ramallah slammed the "Israeli" enemy's demolition decision, affirming, "The EU missions in Jerusalem (al-Quds) and Ramallah regret the recent demolition of a mosque in Khirbet Yarza".

"Since the year 2000, more than 4,800 Palestinian houses and structures have been demolished for lacking a building permit in Area C. The EU calls on "Israel" to review its policy and planning system in order to allow for the socio-economic development of the Palestinian communities", the statement further read.

On Tuesday, the "Israeli" occupation forces have demolished for the third time the mosque in the West Bank village of Khirbet Yarza, claiming the mosque was built in an illegal area, which is only exploited for military training.
