Secret Talks Between “Israel”, Egyptian “QIZ” Factories to Manufacture Enemy Army Clothes
Egyptian newspaper Rose al-Yousef (rosaonline) revealed that "Israeli" textile factories, which are part of the QIZ agreement, are taking part in secret negotiations with Egyptian factories acceded to the same agreement, to manufacture "Israeli" army costumes inside Egypt.
The newspaper noted that for the first time, "Israeli" factories are negotiating manufacturing their army's clothes by a foreign side; and that is due to the Egyptian low labor cost.
Furthermore, the daily indicated that "the owners of the textile factories inside the occupied Palestinian territories, known as the "Arad Textile Industry", warned they would freeze manufacturing if fabrics are imported from Egypt.
It's worth mentioning that the Union of textile manufacturers in the Zionist entity, strongly opposes the entry of Egyptian textiles and clothing into the Zionist entity, because that would harm the "Israeli" industry. The Egyptian product would defeat the Zionist product in kind, quality and price, the Rosaonline.com daily added.
Moreover, the source affirmed that Jordanian factories have engaged in a fierce competition to win a deal to manufacture the "Israeli" army clothes on the expense of Egyptian factories.
It should be noted that Egypt has signed the QIZ agreement on December 14, 2004 as a third party with the US and "Israeli".
This agreement allows Egyptian textile products into US markets duty-free, provided that the "Israeli" products would represent 7 to 11%. On October 9, 2007, the "Israeli" percentage was amended to become 5 to 10%.
