Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim Ali believed that Qatari Prime Minister Hamad Bin Jassem's statement declared after a meeting of the Arab Ministerial committee, stemmed from the notion that, "it realized the sincerity of the Syrian leadership and President Bashar al-Assad in seeking development of internal structure and dialogue".

He indicated that Syria is committed to this step [dialogue, reform] not for the sake of anyone, but because it is needed.
Abdul Karim Ali reminded that "the Syrian President has launched dialogue ten years ago, but it was stalled due to the siege imposed on Syria".
In an interview with al-Manar TV, Syrian Ambassador referred to the Qatari official stance, in which the latter said that some points have been agreed upon, while others still need further research and debate, adding that issues should be kept secret until results are revealed.

He further stressed that Syria's position is clear, and everyone knows what it seeks.
Whether Syria trusted the Qatari presidency of the Arab delegation, Ali Abdul Karim indicated, "We trust the Syrian community, the Syrian people, the national unity and the vision that is directed in the dialogue with our brothers. Therefore we consider the Arab opinions".

Furthermore, he added that Qatari Prime minister's stance was clear in terms of rejecting terrorism and violence from all sides.
"This is recognition that armed extremist forces existed, and therefore the state is forced to deal with these elements that seek destabilization", Ambassador Abdul Karim Ali clarified.

Commenting on the mass demonstrations held in the Syrian to support Syrian President and his reforms, Ambassador Ali went on to say, "Although some sides are trying to rhetorically fabricate facts and attempt to rotate them, everyone knows that the balance of the reform program of President al-Assad is a great, and what is shown of demonstrations does not surprise others because they are aware of facts. However; providing an image different to the aforementioned is anti-reform".

Moreover, he stressed that Syria is very keen to restore the logic of ensuring security and interests of the region, including the Palestinian cause, the Iraqi people's rights.
He stated that re-reading and examining the issues would contribute in formulating international peace and security, within standards that allow everyone to root out all signs of extremism.

On another hand, Syrian Ambassador praised Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's stance, in which he reiterated that Syria is paying the price of its position in support of the resistance.
Also, Ambassador Abdul Karim Ali indicated that today's events are because Syria refused to compromise on an inch of its occupied land.
