Commenting on the latest US claims by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, regarding a possible resumption of Iran-US ties, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi affirmed, "We have heard a lot of similar remarks by US officials".

"The Americans call for resumption of bilateral relations with Iran, but their actions contradict with their words", Salehi added.
He reaffirmed, "As long as they [Americans] refuse to be sincere and honest, negotiations will not bear any fruit".
"It seems that time is not ripe for resumption of ties between Iran and the US, as the Americans continue their hegemonic policy in dealing with other countries in the world", Salehi clarified.

Furthermore, Iranian Foreign Minister noted that Iran is willing to have diplomatic relations with all countries except for the illegitimate Zionist entity.

Salehi's remarks came in a joint press conference with Head of Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, during which the Iranian official indicated that the Iraqi region vowed to provide a secure borderline with Iran.
Minister Salehi stated, "Thank God, the shares borders between Iran and Iraq are safe and will remain safe in the future".

On his part, Barzani indicated, "We wish for promising relations between both sides".
"We never forgot that the Iranian nation welcomes the Iraqi Kurds with open arms during hard time", the Iraqi official stated.

Also, the Iranian Foreign Minister referred to the trade exchange between both countries, stating the value in this regard will be raised to some $3 billion.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran is now self-sufficient in the production of many pharmaceutical drugs and is ready to put its experiences at the disposal of the Iraqi Kurdistan region", Salehi indicated.
