Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohammad Amr stated on Friday that his country condemns the "Israeli" decision to construct 2000 new housing units in east al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the West Bank.

According to Minister Amr, this "Israeli" step disrupts the so-called Middle East peace agreement.
"This decision is a blow to all efforts being made to reach a fair settlement to the conflict and the Palestinian problem", Egyptian Foreign Minister affirmed.

He further accused the Zionist entity of provoking the Palestinians through their constant challenge, and of disregarding the international will that has strictly rejected the construction of settlements.

"Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Tuesday that his entity will resume its construction plans in the occupied city of al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the West Bank, by that defying all international laws and regulations.
