Bahraini Forces Attack Protesters, Pilgrims Protest for Bahrain

Local Editor
Bahraini forces backed by troops from Saudi Arabia have attacked anti-regime protesters who have once again taken to the streets in many parts of the small Gulf country.
Regime forces used tear gas to disperse protesters in the western village of Malikiyah Wednesday as hundreds of people also demonstrated in several other villages, including Karranah, Sanabis and Dair.
Earlier in the day, Hajj pilgrims from the Saudi city of Qatif staged a protest rally in the holy city of Mecca, urging Riyad to withdraw troops from Bahrain.
Expressing solidarity with anti-regime protesters in the neighboring country, Saudi protesters called on their government and other Arab countries not to interfere in Bahrain.
The demonstration came one day after hundreds of Bahraini Hajj pilgrims protested in Mecca against King Hamad Bin Issa al-Khalifa Regime.
