Hamas Celebrates Its 24th Anniversary
Tens of thousands of "Islamic Resistance Palestinian Hamas" supporters rallied in Gaza City Wednesday to celebrate the movement's 24th anniversary.
Commemorating the anniversary under the slogan: "Free people living up to their promises: al-Quds, we are coming," Hamas Leader and Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh vowed to continue resisting "Israel's" occupation.
"Resistance is the way and the strategic choice to liberate Palestine from the river to sea and to remove the invaders from the blessed land of Palestine," Haniyeh addressed the huge crowd, which chanted: "We will never recognize "Israel"."
Neglecting "Israeli" sonic booms and warplanes overhead, Haniyeh emphasized that "Hamas, together with other stubborn resistance factions, will lead the people towards uprising after uprising until all of Palestine is liberated."
In a report marking the anniversary, al-Qassam Brigades said "6,411 "Israeli" soldiers had been injured in the group's 1,117 military operations as well as 24 "Israeli" soldiers were captured.
