Lavrov Hopes Observer Mission’s Objectivity on Syrian Crisis
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov hoped that the work of the Arab observer mission would be objective, and would contribute in coordination with the Syrian leadership to reach a settlement on the crisis through the efforts exerted by the Syrians themselves and not through foreign interference.
Lavrov's remarks came during a phone call with Arab League (AL) Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi, in which both figures tackled the latest developments in the Middle East, SANA reported.
In their talks, both sides stressed on the AL efforts to help achieve stability and stop the violence in the Syrian territories, through sending observers mission, in accordance with the protocol signed between Syria and the AL.
