Syrian MP: Damascus Blasts Aim At Disrupting Observers’ Work
Syrian parliament member Khalid Abood stressed that the bombing in Syria "is intended to disrupt the work of observers who arrived Syria Thursday because field reports were to talk about the existence of armed groups, which may eliminate the work of these observers."
Confirming that "the Qatari Prime Minister, who is the head of Arab Ministerial Committee competent to Syrian affairs, wants to provoke something after the signing of the cooperation protocol with the Arab League," Syrian MP pointed out that "the "Israeli" enemy and the US do not want a report that confirms the presence of terrorist groups."
In an interview with "al-Intiqad", Abood said that "there is an opponent and an enemy that wants to restrain the Syrians, to keep them in their homes and to disrupt their ability to be present in the field."
"The attacks which targeted the headquarters of Syrian intelligence aim at affecting the Syrians moralities," he said, adding that "the speech that was used by the enemy as well as the vocabulary and tone during the last months were turned into facts today."
"They have talked about the blood, assassinations, and deaths," Abood clarified.
Asserting that the blasts carry the prints of "al-Qaeda"," the Syrian MP viewed that "they neither target US nor "Israel" but only Muslims and Arabs, especially when the United States wants to be present."
Abood also predicted that "the Syrian leadership and officials are moving to control the situation as Syria is responsible for its citizens and institutions," concluding that "the confrontation will be the more severe through the tools and more painful to the enemy."
