The independent website icasualties.org stated that the death toll of the US-led foreign troops in their war in Afghanistan, reached 565 for the year 2011.
According to the website, this stands as the second highest toll since the invasion of the country in 2001. The statistics found that out of the 565 death soldiers, 417 of them are from the US, 45 from Britain, and 32 from Australia.

The highest US-troops' death toll in Afghanistan was in 2010 when it reached 711. Since 2001, 2846 foreign troops have died during their "duty" in the Asian country.
Moreover, despite the widespread anger in the US and other NATO member states, which undermine the public support for the Afghan war, nearly 140000 foreign forces are still present in Afghanistan.

In its latest report on Afghanistan issued on September 28, the UN stated that the average monthly number of security incidents recorded for 2011 through the end of August rise nearly 40%.
This represents a scary percentage, especially that the Afghan civilians are also paying high prices for the ten-year-long war. The US report also indicated that the number of Afghani civilians killed in the first six months of 2011 rose by 15 percent, reaching 1462 victims.

Although the US-led war of Afghanistan was under the pretext of combating terrorism, yet the US has increased signs of random military exercise in the countries, and caused violence and chaos instead of spreading its so-called "democracy".
