Davutoglu in Iran: Syria, Nuclear Talks on Top

Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has on Wednesday commenced a crucial visit to Iran to pursue a crowded agenda that includes revival of nuclear talks between Tehran and the global powers as well as ways to align perceptions of the two countries in their regional backyard.
Davutoglu held separate meetings with Iran's First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi and Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi.
On Thursday, Davutoglu is to meet with Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili.
Turkish Foreign Ministry has earlier announced that while in Tehran, Davutoglu would discuss Iran's nuclear program as well as recent political developments in Iraq and Syria.
It is worth mentioning that Turkey is heavily dependent on Iranian oil, and is therefore uncomfortable with the new US law, which can target foreign companies routing their payments for oil imports from Iran through the Iranian Central Bank.
