It is rather ironic to see that the "Middle East", since the 1850s controlled and manipulated by foreign countries; especially Britain and the US later on. What actually pushed these foreigners to originate the term "Middle East" to its current designated area was its important significance in the global "world of politics, economics, and cultures".

Like their great ancestors, the western ruling administrations are still expressing greed, seeking control of every single grain of "Middle Eastern" sand. The popular hit is that the countries who "resist" this control the most, are the ones that receive more smacks. On the other hand, countries who "surrender", even receiver bigger smacks.

Syria and Iraq are two countries that represent both types of countries, not to mention Lebanon which is currently in the midst of a turmoil spreading across the targeted region.

Syria Lives Crisis... Qatar Interferes on Behalf of US

Not only is the US seeking chaos in Syria, but it is turning one of the Arab-Middle Eastern countries against its own ally. Because the US "interference" scheme has been exposed several times, it is now exploiting Qatar to hold its pressure on its behalf. In this context, and after the Arab League (AL) sent an observer mission to Syria, in order to investigate the facts of the media-manipulated crisis, Qatar seeks its "internationalization".

According to as-Safir Lebanese daily, the Qatari Foreign Minister Hamad Bin Jassem Al Thani, despite apparent AL content to the mission's course of operation, expressed concerns that there are some "flaws" in the observers' performance.

Therefore, the Qatari Foreign minister requested help from the United Nations, which on its part confirmed the request, specifying it in a limited technical framework.

What the nations are aware of, but neglect, is that as soon as the issue becomes in the hand of the UN, it is directly converted to US control; once again staging a US domination, removing all hopes of internal understanding and dialogue.
Iran, Russia Stress on Syria's Right to Diplomatic Solution

While Qatar encourages foreign interference, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev confirmed in a phone-meeting, that the regional crisis, including Syria, cannot be resolved but through political means, via conducting dialogue among all concerned parties.
Moreover, both presidents affirmed their support to the UN efforts, and those of international and regional organizations, to try and "make dialogue happen", without any military or violent interference.

Iraq... US Violent Trace Remains

While violence is somehow being avoided in some regional countries, Iraq once again remains a victim of violent attacks. On one day, multiple blasts were deployed in many regions of the country, causing the death of more than 73 Iraqi, while some 150 were injured. Some of the bombs that went off were caused by suicidal bombers that targeted Shiite worshippers, while others were installed to target merely innocent civilians, at the time when the country is living a sectarian-political crisis.

The Iraqi people stated that the politicians and security forces were the sides responsible for the terrorist acts. On his part, the security forces' Baghdad Operation Office spokesperson Qassem al-Moussawi confirmed that it was too soon to accuse any side of this acts, and vowed that security forces will investigate the happenings. He also iterated that the country has been passing through a series of terrorist operations, which seek the halt of the ongoing political amendments.

Lebanon... Taxes VS Wages

On the Lebanese level, which is also going through a series of amendments and developments, people still have their hopes up in regard to the possible increase in salaries. In this context, the Lebanese dailies indicated that Lebanese Labor Minister Charbel Nahhas sent a new draft law aiming at tackling this issue, and if there were an approval, then the issue will be discussed, and probably passed in the cabinet.

According to al-Akhbar newspaper sources, the proposed law indicates a raise in the average salary to 800 L.L, while the different ranks would differ in accordance with the salaries of individuals, neglecting any specification for "transportation expenses". However, the sources added that this law tends to tackle the transportation expenses would be part of the increase if this draft law is passed in the cabinet.

Moreover, Nahhas' draft law mainly focuses on serving the people, and meeting their rights, especially in light of the current increase of expenses and taxes, which are the people's main concerns.

Lebanese Oil Celebrates Implementation Decrees

Also, more on the Lebanese ministerial level, Energy and Oil Minister Gibran Bassil is also doing his best to achieve progress on the long-awaited oil resources. In this context, Bassil was pleased to announce the issuance of the implementation decrees on the oil law.

In an interview with as-Safir newspaper, Minister Bassil noted that his ministry is now working seriously on assigning an administration board for the oil sector, which will be willing to follow up the maritime surveillance, in addition to analyses that will be conducted in this regard.
"Three months from now, the Ministry is expected to declare adjudications, therefore the board is supposed to be assigned within the upcoming days", Minister Bassil stated.

He also added that "this successful experience should be spread throughout all sectors and institutions so [Lebanon] would become a "perfect" civil country, with perfect legal traits".

"In this issue, we surpassed all sectarian and political obstacles, and we only regarded Lebanon's higher interests", Lebanese Energy and Water Minister stressed.

On another hand, sources added that a meeting between the Lebanese and Cypriots will be held soon to discuss the maritime borders; especially regarding the "flaws" stated in the Cyprus deal with the "Israeli" enemy, which is harming Lebanon.

Since Lebanon has somehow learned its lesson "not" to allow any interference in its domestic affairs, it is now focusing on its own interests using its own capacities to create a free national atmosphere
