Hot Parliamentary Session on al-Qaeda, Wages into Fourth Round

January's rain cleaned all over the scene. However, the dirty game of political interests can't be cleaned unless with good wills.
In Syria, the Arab League observers admitted for the first time the presence of armed groups while Russia clarified its stance on ground: We're military and politically to defend Syria and its regime.
Observers' Report, Russian Military in Tartous
The Head of the observers Mohammad Mustfa al-Dabi issued Sunday his first report on the mission, sharing photos, maps and initial findings with the Arab ministerial committee.
The committee called on "the Syrian government and various armed groups to immediately halt all forms of violence and to return to protesting peacefully for the success of the Arab League observers' mission in Syria."
"Al-Akhbar" Lebanese daily reported Monday that "diplomatic sources in Syria viewed that "Arab observers' Sunday report carries a major violation to the fifth item of the protocol signed between Syria and the Arab League."
"The mission's reports must be submitted at the same time to the parties," "al-Akhbar" quoted the official sources clarifying that "until today (Monday), the Syrian government hasn't received any of the reports of observers, including the report presented Sunday."
Meanwhile, a large Russian naval flotilla led by an aircraft carrier has docked in the Syrian port of Tartous.
"The port call is aimed at bringing the two countries closer together and strengthening their ties of friendship," SANA news quoted the Russian naval officer Vladimir Yakushin.
In Lebanon, the week carries a condensed schedule of controversial issues that starts with wages fourth decree and doesn't end on the attack on the army and Defense minister Fayez Ghosn.
Al-Qaeda into Parliament
As usual, "March 14" forces are hardly trying to exploit any title in attempt to gain some remains of political gains.
The Defense minister information concerning the infiltration of al-Qaeda members from Lebanon to Syria drove "March 14" to question the minister.
The defense, interior and municipalities committee headed by "Future" Bloc MP Samir al-Jisr is seeking to question Monday and hear Minister Ghosn after his latest statement.
According to "an-Nahar", "Ghosn confirmed to al-Jisr that he would attend the meeting that is expected to attract a large number of MPs, but the minister refused to make any comment to the daily ahead of the session."
"As-Safir" daily revealed the ""March 14" MPs are preparing to "launch a violent verbal attack on Ghosn and that the majority's lawmakers are getting ready to defend him."
"This indicates that there will be a heated debate," it said.
Similarly, "al-Liwaa" newspaper uncovered that ""March 14" deputies are seeking to turn the committee's meeting into an official inquiry and to subject the minister to a vote of confidence."
Wages again into Discussion
At another Lebanese concern, Representatives of labor unions and the private sector are set for decisive talks on wage hikes Monday, in two separate meetings with Prime Minister Najib Mikati and "change and Reform Bloc" leader MP Michel Aoun ahead of Tuesday's governmental session.
"We are heading toward the final resolution over the wage increase issue and the meeting at the Grand Serail tomorrow (Monday) aims to reaffirm the agreement," Economy Ministry Nicolas Nahhas declared Sunday.
According to "as-Safir", the "Syndical Coordination Committee" threatened to return to strike, sit-ins, and demonstrations in defense of correct wages.
Refusing the scheduled Monday meeting between the Labor's Union and Prime Minister Najib Mikati, the committee asserted that the "meeting is to carry the same fate of previous ones."

For his part, Head of Labor's Union Ghassan Ghosn considered that "the purpose behind meeting with Aoun is to inform him about the accurate agreement made with the Economic Committees."
In an interview with "as-Safir" daily, Ghosn stressed that his "LU is to urge Aoun to facilitate the process so that the government could approve the deal unless the government proposes a new plan which abides by the agreement and gets the Shura Council's approval."
Asked about the "Syndical Coordination Committee's" rejection of the agreement reached by the GLC and the Economic Committees, Ghosn announced that "it doesn't represent all the employees in Lebanon, thus the deal doesn't include it."
Diplomatic Appointments, STL
In parallel, the government is expected to make diplomatic appointments Tuesday.
According to "an-Nahar", Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour suggested Ambassadors Mohammed al-Hajjar, Mustafa Hamdan and Wafiq al-Ruhaimi to the post of the secretary-general of the foreign ministry.
Mansour also suggested three other Ambassadors for the post of director of political affairs at the foreign ministry.
Another important item on the governmental agenda that is set to convene at Presidential palace is the formation of a financial market authority in accordance with a law adopted by parliament on August 14.
Furthermore, the internal Lebanese forces are preparing for a new round of debate on the Special Tribunal for Lebanon under the title of "renewal of the tribunal's Protocol," which is supposed to be discussed during the visit of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon to Lebanon in the coming days.
