Head of the Arab League Observer Mission in Syria General Mohammad Mustafa al-Dabi unveiled that "what has been declared by Observer Anwar Malek through one of the satellite channels is completely false."

Clarifying that "since he was nominated as a member of Homs team, Malek hasn't leaved the hotel for six days," al-Dabi pointed out in a press conference Thursday that "the mentioned observer hadn't been part as a member of the team in its field visits in Homs under the pretext that he was sick."

"A day before leaving Damascus, Malek requested to be allowed to travel to Paris for treatment and his request was agreed upon, yet he traveled before taking the measures required for traveling and without handing the trust given to him to participate in the mission in Homs and he traveled at his own expense," the Head of the observers added.

He clarified that "Malek perjured;" adding that "he is responsible for what he said
and this is what the members of the team which went to Homs affirm."

Al-Dabi reiterated "his call upon the mass media to investigate the accuracy with regard to what it broadcasts and to adhere to the objectivity."
