In light of the US-led conspiracy spreading across the region and in light of the escalating violent attacks on innocent civilians throughout the region, the "Israeli" espionage once again was exposed. The recent espionage agent exposed complies with the US's Arab "agents" sent to Syria to "investigate" the security situation there.

It's been a tough week, and the weekend would be concluded with a "blessed" visit by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to Lebanon, during which he will be visiting the "bosses of Lebanon" to tackle the latest local, regional, and international issues.

In this context, the Lebanese dailies also showed interests in the latest developments on the aforementioned levels.

Lebanon... Field of Mossad Agents

As huge as the issue might seem, the Lebanese people had already become "vaccinated" against such exposures as those of the Mossad agents. After the outstanding Lebanese "army-resistance" espionage accomplishments, people have become aware of the Mossad violation of the telecoms sector.

Elias Younes, 71 years-old, had collaborated with the "Israeli" enemy since 1977, and his treason was just recently exposed by the Lebanese army's intelligence unit. Lebanese daily as-Safir published the story of the "dean of collaborators" as he is called. The daily indicated that Younes' work in the telecoms sector strated in 1958 with the "Radio Orian", which was later replaced by "Ogero" in 1972. After that he was appointed as head of Beirut's technical area in 1974, and then in 1977, in the midst of the Lebanese civil war, the "Israeli" agents contacted and trained him to present them with telecoms data. Here, the 35 years of treason began.

The daily, moreover, indicated that Younes had a great role in providing the "Israeli" enemy with all the Lebanese telecoms networks' maps, especially those located in Beirut and the south, to help them during their 1978 and 1982 invasions.

Throughout the years, Younes kept his close ties with his "Israeli" informants, even after his resignation in 2005, during which he was trained on new developed espionage technologies that would help him provide more information, and updated data of the land phone lines, and mobile companies if possible.

Also, he was in constant contact with the "Israelis" during the 2006 July war aggression, in which he most probably collaborated with them to provide them with any possible information. Although he has been insisting that he retired from his "espionage" collaboration in 2008 due to his ageing, as-Safir daily stated that the Lebanese Army's intelligence unit monitored him and found out that he had held several meeting with the "Israelis" after the consecutive collapses of "Israeli" espionage networks in Lebanon in 2009.

Mossad's Eye on Iran

While the Mossad movement is being exposed throughout the Lebanese territories, and while "Israel" is threatening Iran with "nuclear attacks", the Mossad sneaked its way into Iran, and once again assassinated a nuclear scientist.

Debates are escalating in this regard, and the Iranian response is awaited. Meanwhile, Iranian officials, including the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, have stressed that the US intelligence and "Israeli" Mossad is for sure the criminal. And because the US and "Israel" are seeking military action against Iran, they are trying to provoke the Iranians into initiating the attack. However, Iran is smarter than they think.

The Lebanese Gov't-STL Dilemma

More on Lebanon, a new debate over the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) is expected to be erupted by next March. This time the issue is about renewing the protocol of the so-called international tribunal. According to al-Akhbar Lebanese daily, article 21 of the agreement to establish the STL, agreed upon by Lebanon and the UN, stated that "after 3 years of the STL's work, both sides [Lebanese government and UN] discuss with the Security Council what progress has the STL reached, and if its activity was not done by the end of those three years, then the agreement should be extended so that the STL would accomplish its work".

On this level, people are anticipating how Hizbullah would react to this issue, especially that it has constantly expressed its position regarding the "politicized" tribunal, which has neglected many important evidences indicting "Israel", blaming the former government of ignoring the false witnesses file.

UN Secretary General Keen on Lebanon?

At the time when Lebanon is blundering in the "internationalized" interference in its affairs, UN Secretary General Ban ki-moon confirmed that the UN is very keen on Lebanon's security, stability and enhancement.

In an interview with Lebanese daily an-Nahar in New York, ahead of his 3-day visit to Lebanon on Friday to launch a conference over the so-called "Arab Spring" entitled "Reforms and Transition to Democracy", Ban ki-moon also called upon the Zionist entity to "immediately halt" the breach of Lebanon sovereignty and resolution 1701.

Referring to the Syrian-Lebanese status, the UN Secretary General affirmed that Syria should cooperate with Lebanon to demarcate their borders so that they would easily control them from both sides. Furthermore, he praised the "very good work" done by the Lebanese army and other security apparatuses that are seeking control of the stability in Lebanon, urging them on "protecting Lebanon from terrorism".

He also indicated to an-Nahar daily his expectations that the national dialogue would once again be launched, in order to reach consensus on a unified national defense strategy.

Lebanese Local Concerns... Local Livelihood

As the "world and Lebanese leaders" are concerned with the Lebanese affairs, the people only care about their livelihood, and the "wages" file which has been tackled but not resolved for some 3 months.

The Index Commission responsible for the wages' increase discussions is meeting to specify the average of wages. So far, they didn't meet a consensus on this level. However, talks are being held between Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Speaker Nabih Berri over the
