Raad: Ki-Moon Talk on Resistance Arms Reveals Double Standards, Prejudice

Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc Head MP Mohammad Raad said that the latest speech of UN Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon on the resistance arms reflects double standards and is unjust towards current events.
In response to what Ki-Moon had said earlier in a press conference in Lebanon, Raad noted that "Ban thinks that the weapons of the Resistance are harmful but does not think that the weapons in the hand of gunmen in Syria are harmful,"
The UN chief had said on Friday "I am deeply concerned about the military capacity of Hizbullah and also concerned about the lack of progress in disarmament."
Ban arrived in Beirut on Friday for talks with Lebanese leaders on the controversial U.N.-backed Special Tribunal for Lebanon, Syrian Unrest and Hezbollah's arms.
Following a meeting with former PM Salim al-Hoss, MP Raad noted that the government should take action towards the events taking place in Syria and Lebanon, the "Israeli" threats against the region, the judaization of al-Quds as well as the livelihood of the people.
Concerning Syria, Raad pointed out that "some see the solution as through supporting and financing armed gangs in Syria, while some see there is still room for reforms through serious dialogue between the Syrian regime and the peaceful opposition in such a way that preserves Syria and its stability, and avoids any chaos."
