Lahoud: Rushing to Internationalize Crisis Won’t Benefit Seekers of Destabilization in Syria

Tackling the Syrian issue with his visitors, former Lebanese President Emile Lahoud denounced the "wave of [anti-Syria] internationalization sought by the enemies of the Arab nation and unfortunately some Arabs, along with the Secretary General of the Arab League, which has nothing left of its pact but the title".
"Rushing [towards internationalization] would not benefit any of those who are hastening the steps towards targeting Syria's stability, before the constitutional merits burst them in their country, and before the financial crisis, which they have caused, finishes their imaginative greed", Lahoud indicated.
In the same context, President Lahoud referred that freezing the task of the observers' mission has many indications, with reference to the escape from truth and reality.
He asserted that the mission's reports "excluded any accusation against the Syrian regime; of igniting the incitement flame, and concluded that there is an armed aggression by imported weaponry, which is killing and injuring innocents from the army and civilians [...]".
President Lahoud indicated that Syria has become stronger, and it will come out of its crisis.
On the internal Lebanese level, former Lebanese President Lahoud stressed that activating the governmental work means that the cabinet should issue its decisions on the issues included in its agenda, without stopping at the narrow political or personal accounts.
President Lahoud affirmed that the livelihood and economic files should be marked as "high-priority", because it remains the government's duty to provide the needs and rights of the people.
