Media Commission Discusses Ethical Irregularities of Media, Normalization with “Israel”
The Parliamentary Media and Telecoms commission convened on Tuesday headed by MP Hassan Fadlallah and discussed the latest suggestions related to the print and media laws.
Head of the National Council for Multimedia Abdul Hadi Mahfouz presented the proposed amendments on the radio and TV laws, explaining in detail the reports on the irregularities of some media outlets, regarding general ethics, morals and normalization with the "Israeli" enemy.
After discussing the irregularities of the under procedure laws, especially with reference to their affects on the society, and after listening to the complaints of the civil community's bodies, the parliamentary commission decided to convene with the television stations' representatives on March 6, 2012, in order to tackle the aforementioned concerns.
