Wikileaks: CIA Beirut Den Alive, Claiming Its Shut Part of Anti-Hizbullah Collusion

CIA Beirut station is still alive and well and that the claim that the CIA was shut down was one that was made to get Hizbullah off the CIA's back
.

This isn't just leaked information but rather a document published by Wikileaks.
In an e-mail published Wednesday, Wikileaks uncovered the details of collusion between media and US intelligence to undermine Hizbullah efforts in trapping CIA officers in Lebanon.

The e-mail documented as -ID 5287911 on the 21-11-2011 highlights that the US intelligence company Stratfor's employee Anya Alfano send an e-mail message via Blackberry to company colleagues as well as to Associated Press's journalist Adam Goldman.

According to the e-mail, "some of this feels like disinfo (disinformation). If the CIA lost a few people in Beirut, it would be reasonable for them to send a few current and former US Officials to the AP to leak a story that the all US coverage of Hez (Hizbullah) has been "wiped out" -- best way to stop the search for more informants."

In response, the journalist Goldman published an exclusive AP story under the title "Spies Ousted, CIA Suffers in Lebanon," that was much appreciated by Stratfor's employee Alfano.

"Great work Adam!"
