Speaker Berri: Syria Should Decide Political Future Without Foreign Interferences
Lebanese Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri confirmed that "despite all blazes hitting the region, especially in neighboring countries, the self-distance policy the state is following is serves the interests of Lebanon, its security and stability".
"This policy guarantees not having the borders of our country open on crises, weaponry, and the overcrossing violence", Berri stated.
During a lunch sermon held by the Lebanese embassy in Cyprus upon his visit, Speaker Berri asserted that all the Lebanese people want Syria to regain its security and stability, so that the Syrians would themselves decide their political future without any foreign interference".
"Lebanon is still maintaining its financial and security stability, despite some events that were contained with the cooperation of all firms, and with the national role of the army in preserving security and defending the country's borders", Speaker Berri iterated.
On another hand, Lebanese Speaker indicated that Cyprus and Lebanon can hold investments in accordance with each country's strategic position; Lebanon as a platform for the joint Arab market, and Cyprus as a platform for the European market and as a member of the European Union.
