US Police Detain 14 Occupy-Atlanta Protesters

US police forces arrested 14 Occupy-Atlanta protesters, for taking part in peaceful demonstrations outside many "Chase Bank" branches.
The demonstrators were arrested outside five separate branches of Chase Bank on Monday.
An Occupy Atlanta organizer, Sofia Lipko, condemned the arrests and said that such moves would not discourage the protesters, but would rather make them more determined to fight corporate greed.
After the arrests, the activists issued a statement saying that the protests will continue throughout Tuesday, which happens to be the birthday of the CEO of JP Morgan Chase, the parent company of Chase Banks.
The Occupy Atlanta movement follows the September 2011 Occupy Wall Street protests, which began with a group of demonstrators gathering in New York, to protest the corporate system of the rich, which is influencing official US policies, further denouncing their country's high-level corruption.
Thousands of Occupy Movement protesters have been arrested since the protests were launched on September 17, 2011 throughout the cities of the US.
