Areslan Meets Rokon Abadi, Praises Iranian Regional Role
Leader of the Lebanese Democratic Party Talal Areslan visited on Friday Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Rokon Abadi, and hailed Iran's positive and constructive role in the regional developments.
Moreover, Areslan stressed that his party has always appreciated Iran's role in strengthening the axis of resistance in Lebanon, IRNA reported.
"Our ties with Iran have a historical background, and both sides' viewpoints on the regional developments are on Lebanon's internal problems, are very close to each other", Areslan stated.
Regarding the developments in Syria, with reference to the Syrian nation's resistance against foreign conspiracies, Areslan noted that the Syrian wide popular protests to support the government have proved to the world that "the Syrian nation has the ability to resist all plots".
On his part, Ambassador Rokon Abadi referred to the anti-resistance conspiracies schemed in Syria, and hailed the popular support, believing it is a sign for the "failure of the arrogant powers' plots against Syria".
"Iran always stands next to the people of the region", Rokon Abadi iterated.
