"Israeli" Ofer military court rejected Sunday a legal appeal for releasing hunger striker prisoner Hana Shalabi.
’’Israel’’ Rejects Appeal for Releasing Shalabi
The lawyer from the Prisoners Society Jawad Bulus announced that "a secretary from the "Israeli" military court informed him that the judge rejected his appeal against Shalabi's detention without trial."
"The judge, after reviewing Shalabi's case, said that there are grounds to continue holding her as she is a threat to "Israel's" security," "Israeli" Secretary told Bulus.

In response, the lawyer added that "he will lodge a petition against the unfair and oppressive decision."
For his part, "Prisoner Society" director Qadura Fares stated that he "was not surprised by the "Israeli" court's decision, as they have never treated Palestinian prisoners fairly."

Shalabi, from the village of Burqin, is being held in "administrative detention", a category in the "Israeli" system which permits imprisoning suspects for six months at a time without charge.
On Thursday, Bulus unveiled that "Shalabi was in a critical condition."
Bill Ban Esveld, a researcher for Human Rights Watch, declared that ""Israel" is violating Shalabi's basic rights."

"After previously imprisoning her without charge for more than two years, "Israel" is again violating Hana Shalabi's basic due process rights," Ban Esveld said.
"If "Israel" lacks the evidence to charge her with any crime, as seems to be the case, it should release her immediately," HRW researcher affirmed.

Similarly, Amnesty International called "the "Israeli" authorities to immediately release the Palestinian detainee...amid fears that the woman could die in detention after 39 days on hunger strike."
