FPM Political Relations Officer Gebran Bassil noted the need for additional consultations pending the return of Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa from Damascus.
"We learned through experience to wait for things to be finalized in written agreements, as it is easy to renounce agreements and give different interpretations," Bassil told the Voice of Lebanon radio station.
Bassil noted the divergence in opinions over Moussa's suggestion of shares in the coming government between the feuding parties.
"One opinion calls for the election of a president and then solving pending problems, while the other, related to the Arab initiative, is putting all problems in one basket."
Moussa declared yesterday that the pro-(US backed) government party will not have the simple majority in the coming government, and the opposition will not obtain the obstructing one-third vote.
Bassil denied that former President Amin Gemayel suggested the establishment of a neutral government during yesterday's meeting that joined Gemayel with Moussa and MPs Michel Aoun and Saad Hariri.
He also expected that meetings will be held to clarify some points, especially the electoral law and the election of a president during Monday's election session.
