Bahraini Authorities Violence Ongoing, Al-Khawaja Announces His Will
Mass protests took to the streets late Friday near the villages of Damistan, Karzakkan, Malkiya and Sadad.

"Down with Hamad,"they chanted, referring to Bahrain's king, along with other slogans in support of jailed hunger striker activist Abdulhadi al-Khawaja, who has been on a hunger strike for two months.

Some of the protesters, who included women, wore face masks and several were dressed in white shrouds bearing the message: "I am the next martyr."
Security forces fired tear gas and sound bombs to disperse the demonstrators.

In parallel, the activist al-Khawaja, now on 72nd day of hunger strike, stopped
drinking water along with all fluids and IV on Thursday.
He asked to see his lawyer to write his will, but both lawyer and Danish ambassador have been attempting to see him all day, but denied access.

His wife Khadija al-Moussawi said that "his voice sounded weaker than any time before."

According to the Bahraini Center for Human Rights, al-Khawaja said, if they won't
allow the lawyer to see him, he would like everyone to know that: He is completely convinced in what he is doing, and that he has chosen this path and would choose it again if time goes back.

"If I die, in the next 24 hours, I ask the people to continue on path of peaceful resistance, ... I don't want anybody to be hurt in my name," al-Khawaja recommended.
