MP Raad: There is nothing promising yet
Source: NowLebanon, 24-01-2008
MP Mohammed Raad, head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, said that nothing looks promising so far in terms of finding a solution.
"Yet there is still hope," he said.
"We are expecting the opposition and the pro-government party to be treated equally in order to reach a solution," Raad said after heading a delegation from his bloc to Speaker Nabih Berri.
Raad said that the opposition is waiting for the results of the Arab Foreign Ministers Meeting on January 27 before making any decisions.
He also noted the ongoing contacts between the opposition factions. Commenting on today's protests, Raad said it was a peaceful movement over livelihood issues.
