Berri to Siniora: The parliament is closed because of your unconstitutional government
Source: NowLebanon, 24-01-2008
Speaker Nabih Berri's media office replied to Prime Minister Fouad Siniora's statement after his meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
"We totally agree on his statement calling for dialogue between Lebanese factions and the revival of the parliament, which has been closed for more than 15 months, as he said," the statement read.
"Yet, Siniora should have clarified that the reason for the parliament's closure is his illegitimate and unconstitutional government."
The statement also accused Siniora of being responsible for the government's present status.
