Hidden Secrets of an "Israeli" Spy: Lived in Beirut, Received Citizenship, Obtained Airport Maps

The Lebanese papers shed light Saturday on the exposure of the Lebanese arena in front of the Zionist entity enemy during the years after the establishment of "Israel" on the Occupied Palestinian Land.
"Israeli" "Yediot Aharonot" daily unveiled Friday the mission of an "Israeli" spy who worked in Lebanon and Syria, even before the start of Eli Cohen's work.
Based on Roni Shaked book to be published in "Tel Aviv": "From "Jerusalem" to Damascus: Vice Versa" the daily revealed that the real name of the "Israeli" agent was Massoud Bouton."
"The spy later adopted the name Mustafa Taleb upon his work as a businessman in Beirut," Beirut dailies quoted the Hebrew paper as mentioning.
They further highlighted that " the "Israeli intelligence did not honor Button after his return to the Zionist entity in 1962, but rather humiliated him."
"This led him to migrate to France where he died in Strasbourg, mid last year," the papers stated.
They also highlighted some of the espionage points in the man's life.
"On the age of forty, Bouton returned to "Led Airport" from Beirut on January 14, 1962. He found none of his colleagues in the "131 Unit" of the Military Intelligence waiting for him," they explained.
The dailies also reported that "before reaching "Israel", he had left his friends in Beirut, driving a Peugeot from Beirut to Syria, Turkey, Greece and Yugoslavia ahead of reaching Italy."
"From there, Bouton traveled to the Zionist entity after his long journey as a Lebanese businessman on behalf of Mustapha Taleb," they added.
For its part, the Hebrew paper hailed ""Israel's" man in Beirut and Damascus.:"
"Bouton was our man in Beirut and Damascus from the end of the fifties until the beginning of the 1962. He was a classic spy, with an espionage transmitter in the wardrobe of his bedroom."
It further recalled that "Bouton, who prepared the ground for Eli Cohen, who replaced him in Syria, has not had his efforts recognized."
"Our Intelligence expelled him rudely, without compensation. For a moment, he seemed as an enemy spy and he was dismissed from the Intelligence Unit to be later left without a job," "Yediot Aharonot" added.
In its long review, the daily said that "two years later, Bouton left "Israel" and emigrated with his wife and two children to France where he lived as a poor until his death."
In parallel, the information uncovered that "Bouton was recruited in 1954 as a soldier in "131" Intelligence Unit, which is in charge of recruiting and training "Israeli" agents to work in the Arab countries."
"Bouton came to Lebanon from Italy in 1957 as an Algerian named Mustafa Taleb. After that, he settled in the Lebanese capital, where he rented a house in the neighborhood of Badaro," the paper revealed.
It also stated that "Taleb , or Bouton worked in the field of fishing vessels and sale of engines for agricultural tractors, weaving, carpentry, film distribution, as well as importation of furniture from Italy."
"The "Israeli" agent was also among the suppliers of the equipment at Beirut airport, and he insisted on taking the airport's diagrams and charts under this cover. Later, these diagrams were used by the "Israeli" army in its operation against Beirut airport in 1969," the daily said.
According to the information obtained from the book, "Bouton managed to obtain a Lebanese citizenship in 1959, after he claimed that he was born in a Southern Lebanese village and that his family name was Taleb."
