Internationalization... that's the solution.

"March 14" summoned all the world's representatives to incite on the government from the Syrian background.

The deportation of 14 Syrians based on clear legal basis formed to the opposition an opportunity to political blackmail.
"March 14" escalated its position with head of Future bloc MP Minister Fouad Siniora's descision to question the government on its role in the General Security step.

March 14 Escalates Campaign

"As-Safir" Lebanese newspaper commented on "March 14's" step by saying: "It ignored the official explanations and the supporting facts that the General Security provided."
"What is striking is that the international actors, who listened to the Lebanese General Security perspective formed a conviction that everything that happened falls under the roof of the Lebanese law and international standards," the paper added.
It further highlighted that " this is the same view that Prime Minister Najib Mikati owns, yesterday evening."

This came as "March 14 "decided with MP Walid Jumblatt to escalate the issue by questioning the government to reach the level of demanding the resignation of Director of General Security."
Meanwhile, the General Directorate of General Security slammed the campaign of lies that targeted it.
"Any decision taken by the General Security stems from the laws and regulations that govern its work and is under the authority of the Lebanese judiciary," the directorate clarified.

Majority Organizes Ranks

On another level, the end of Electricite Du Liban contract workers crisis opened a new page of relations within the majority's ranks.
It further reiterated that "the reported persons received judicial verdicts for crimes they committed on Lebanese territory, which the Syrian state has nothing to do with.

In this context, "as-Safir" daily revealed that the meeting might be held between the Secretary General of Hizbullah His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, House Speaker Nabih Berri, and Head of Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun.
According to "as-Safir", Berri's visitors quoted him as saying that "despite all his remarks, he is still convinced of the importance and priority of the political and strategic alliance with General Aoun."

"Our political understanding serves the Resistance's interest, consolidates civil peace and preserves national balance, and does not target any Lebanese side."
In an interview with the same daily, MP Ibrahim Karim confirmed that "the relationship with Berri is political and an institutional one."

"We are also keen on preserving our understanding with Hizbullah, as it is an understanding based on building the state and protecting Lebanon."
For his part, Aoun uncovered to "al-Akhbar" daily that "various parties led the EDL mediations. "The political agreement moved in conformity with the law," he added.
The head of "Change and Reform" bloc voiced hope that the crisis with Berri is a limited one.

Meanwhile, "as-Safir" learned that "Berri is supposed to call the Parliament to convene in a general session."

Oil on Top, Dialogue Stuck

In parallel, sources emphasized to the same daily that the oil issue will be the top priority of the coming period.
In remarks to "as-Safir", Energy minister Gibran Bassil expressed his surprise of the appointment delay of the oil sector governing body."
"Appointment should have ended a while ago," he said and pointed out that "this file is necessary and very vital and therefore is an urgent one."
On the dialogue level, President Suleiman's sources denied that he "had received any answer from "March 14" opposition regarding its participation in the scheduled dialogue session."
