He's the seventh martyr to join Monday the procession of those young men whose hearts became the dwellings of last Sunday's bullets of treason. He's the aid worker, Jihad Monzer, who was seen on TV stations lying wounded on the ground, being treated by another aid worker Mustapha Amhaz, who was also shot dead over him. When Monzer was shot, he was also trying to save another injured man. The Chiyah region bid Monzer farewell after he died at the American University Hospital where he was being treated from serious wounds. The martyr was the Civil Defense's Popular Relief Committee official for the southern Metn region. He was born in 1973. He is married and has a two-year old son, Mohamad. The family of martyr Monzer, as the families of the six other martyrs, said that they will not rest before the killers are identified and punished. On Sunday, a group of people were demonstrating and burning tires in the Chiyah region for the severe cut of electricity in their neighborhood. The Lebanese army's fifth regiment opened fire and snipers were seen on rooftops shooting at the demonstrators. The result was seven people killed and more than 50 others injured. The Lebanese army opened an investigation into the incident.
