Moussawi: Strong Resistance A Condition for Lebanon’s Survival

"Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc MP Nawaf Moussawi stressed that "the presence of a strong, capable and effective resistance, i.e. able to thwart the "Israeli" aggression, is a condition for the survival of the Lebanese state."
"He who talks about the singularity of the state in security and sovereignty titles is necessarily talking about the resistance is a pillar of the state," he said.

Moussawi further highlighted that "turning the facts and portraying the resistance as the antithesis of the state is neither related to the political logic nor to the historical experiences."

The MP urged all sides to build the state, maintain its survival and find an appropriate formula to make secure the resistance's force and capabilities.
"Those who imagine that they could abolish the resistance through dialogue or through seeking a way to delete it from the Lebanese equation finding a way to delete it from the Lebanese equation are committing a sin against himself before anyone else," Moussawi said.
He also mentioned that "every Lebanese citizen bearing the national sense and wanting Lebanon firstly, must understand that weakening the resistance would give green light to "Israel" to execute aggression against Lebanon."

""Israel" favors itself through the local incitation policy so as to flare up an interior strife that would impede the resistance's struggle," Moussawi clarified.
In parallel, he emphasized that " a powerful military machine that is allied with the global world and that had internal Lebanese and Arab alliances as well as an direct open air bridge with both the US and UK failed to eliminate the resistance."

He concluded that the resistance's patience became limitless "in order to prevent "Israel" from thinking that the resistance is curbed by confessions and sects and that the resistance's eradication is accordingly easy."
