The Head of the Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun confirmed that "there is a lot of political exploitation in the case of former Minister Michel Samaha."
In an interview with OTV channel, Aoun refused to comment on the case pending the decision of the judiciary, and pointed out that "Lebanon is a battleground to international intelligence."

"I neither want to accuse or excuse anyone; however, I have my own analysis to the subject," he said.

On the kidnappings issue, the MP stressed that " the state toured the region without doing anything," and noted that " the kidnapper Abu Ibrahim became the media spokesman who reassured about its citizens."
"Turkey is not our enemy but rather a brotherly country, the same as Qatar and Saudi Arabia, although they have distanced themselves from us," Aoun mentioned.

He also urged them to "find solutions to the kidnappings taking place, because they are the ones who are supporting the so-called Free Syrian Army."
" I do not justify kidnappings, counter-kidnappings or the blocking of roads, but we must first condemn the action before condemning the reaction," the head of the parliamentary bloc stated.

Aoun also commented on Tripoli's recent clashes by saying "What is happening in Tripoli is a separatist movement."
"There are attempts to turn the Northern events to sectarian strife," he said and recalled " it isn't allowed that 1000 armed men captivate the city and its suburbs where 400 thousand people live."
On the Syrian level, Aoun emphasized that "US interest in the region is due to "Israel"."

" There are global international interests on Syrian territory," he added, and mentioned that there is "a European American war through the Syrian people."
The MP stressed that "they want to change the regime because they consider it as a barrier to the so-called "peace" with "Israel"."
"To them, Syria forms an economic barrier because it does not allow the passage of oil from Turkey to Europe," he explained.
Earlier Tuesday, Aoun met with "Amal Movement" delegation headed by MP Ali Bazzi.

This came after a meeting with Hizbullah delegation headed by Hizbullah Secretary General aide Hussein Khalil.
