The Maronite Patriarch Mar Beshara Rai called Thursday "all Lebanese sides to initiate a new birth."

" We hope that what we have experienced in Lebanon isn't witnessed in other places. However, what is happening in Iraq and Syria warn us that no one had learn from us," Rai said.
During his visit to the Northern Rashdebbine town, the Patriarch highlighted that "the political, social, and economic crisis Lebanon is witnessing proves the presence of invisible hands seeking to sabotage life in Lebanon."
"We must all be responsible in face of this great collapse," he said.
The head of the Lebanese Maronite church feared that "the Arab world was fragmented and torn apart and for this reason there is a need for the Christians in Lebanon and the region."
"The Christians aren't a minority as some people claim," he concluded.
