Commander of the southern region in the so-called "Free Syrian Army" announced repentance and setting himself in the service of the Syrian Army.
In details, the Southern Command in the military council of the "FSA" Lt. Col. Khalid bin Abdul Rahman al-Zalm, declared his decision, with a number of soldiers to retreat from fighting the Syrian Army and settling their condition.
"We again put ourselves at the disposal of the army command," al-Zalam said in a speech during the opposition conference which took place Wednesday in Damascus.
According to the former FSA military leader, the decision was taken in cooperation with the Syrian Ministry of Reconciliation.
"The weapons we carry are only to support our brothers in Palestine in face of the enemies of humanity and not to face our brothers of the same country," he stressed.
Al-Zalam mentioned that "we started to think about what fight caused to our beloved country."
"The solution in Syria is not by restoring to arms and violence, but to refrain from committing mistakes and to return to the bosom of the nation," he confirmed.
As he invited all opposition armed groups to abandon arms and return to the Syrian military institution, al-Zalam concluded that "as Syrians, we are the sons of this country."
