Hizbullah Delegation in Bkirki, as-Sayyed: New Electoral Law A Must

The head of Hizbullah's politburo, His Eminence Sayyed Ibrahim Amin as-Sayyed, headed Friday the party's delegation to congratulate the Maronite Patriarch Bshara al-Rai on his recent appointment as a cardinal in the Catholic Church.
In a press conference after the meeting, His Eminence unveiled that the delegation transferred the Secretary General of Hizbullah His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's congratulations to the cardinal.
As the conferees discussed various internal and regional developments, Sayyed as-Sayyed highlighted: "Those who want to hamper the discussion of electoral law wants in fact to hold these elections in accordance with 1960 law."
"There is a consensus with the need to complete a new law that achieves a true representation of all Lebanese and contributes to the stability of the country," he added.
In parallel, His Eminence reiterated: "The Lebanese are destined to resolve their crises not through obstruction or boycott, but through dialogue and meeting together."
The Hizbullah top official further urged the government to address with a high sense of responsibility in case of times of crises, through seeking adequate solutions to them, especially at the socio-economic level."
"The government is the prime institution concerned in this matter," he said, and noted "Proposals to form a neutral government are not realistic."
Meanwhile, Sayyed as-Sayyed refrained from responding to the campaign of insults against Hizbullah, stressing "no matter what happens, dialogue remains the best way to resolve differences."
