Head of Hizbullah's Juristic Board His Eminence Sheikh Mohammad Yazbek stressed that the occasion of Prophet Isa's (Jesus) Birth is considered an invitation to reunion between the Lebanese, condemning "the refusal of some politicians to participate in the dialogue table."
During a ceremony in Sayyeda al-Maounat Church in Baalbek city on Christmas, Sheikh Yazbek described the absence of MPs in parliamentary sessions as disgraceful, "at the time that you [March 14] spread Lebanese differences through media stations."
His Eminence further reiterated that, "The Arab Spring could not be achieved except by the liberation of Palestine."
For his part, Baalbek and North Bekaa's Maronite Pastor Semaan Atallah praised the municipality of Baalbek for the ceremony, stating, "We celebrate Christmas at a time where our Middle Eastern countries witness harsh and shameful conditions," pleading "peace to prevail Lebanon and the region."
