Hizbullah's Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem reiterated, "Lebanon is strong by its Army-People-Resistance force; it is an enduring stronghold in face of regional turmoil, and without it, Lebanon would have lived in chaos."

Sheikh Qassem Calls for Fair Electoral Law In a memorial in al-Kazem complex, Beirut's Southern Suburbs, Sheikh Qassem stressed, "[The failing bidders] say they refuse [the resistance's] weapon; be frank and admit that you do not wish to resist "Israel", and those who do not want to fight "Israel" accept its occupation, advocates its plot, and is an indispensable asset of "Israel"."
His Eminence further reiterated that the dissociation policy regarding Syria adopted by the Lebanese government was ridiculed by the opposing party, but this party soon defended the policy.
"Whoever possesses value takes the right stance before it's too late and is a man of principle," he added.
Moreover, Sheikh Qassem pointed out, "Hizbullah does not depend on regional developments for its strength and stances, but rather depends on its faith and people, and whoever depends on them can never lose no matter the circumstances."

"We took clear stances in some cases; we were the first who demanded to hasten the trial of Islamists held under custody in Roumieh Prison, and we were the first to demand amnesty for those who plotted the assassination of His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah," His Eminence stated.
On another note, His Eminence Sheikh Qassem reiterated Hizbullah's stance in holding the parliamentary elections on schedule, considering the 1960 electoral law to rule out half of Lebanese voters and to exclude multiple representation among sects.

"We declared our stance on the government's project [that Lebanon be one electoral constituency based on proportionality]; any proportion is a step towards true national representation. We accepted the Orthodox proposal since it advocates proportionality and reassures Christians' rights," Sheikh Qassem underlined.

He concluded, addressing the opposition, "Present your standards of a just electoral law to the public opinion."
