Hizbullah's Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem reiterated, "The resistance neither change one state of ruling nor amended one article of the electoral law."

Sheikh Qassem: Defense Strategy Strength of Lebanon for Liberty During a political meeting with university professors held by the High Educational Institution in Hizbullah's Educational Mobilization, Sheikh Qassem pointed out, "The resistance defended Lebanon in face of "Israel" in cooperation with the Lebanese Army; it did not intervene with the Army's authorities, and the Army performed its duties as it sees fit and as to its objective plans, agendas, and circumstances."
Moreover, His Eminence highlighted, "The resistance has approved to discuss the national strategy of defense, in order to achieve the broadest national unanimity in integrating between the resistance and government."
He further underscored, "We clearly stated that the defense strategy is the strategy of Lebanon's strength for liberty and protection, not a bridge to amend balances of force. The defense strategy is a strategy to discuss adding the resistance to the government."

Sheikh Qassem added, "Weaponry is a prerequisite to the resistance, as well as wire communications, training, equipping, and organizing," stressing, "We cannot deliberate the resistance's weapon, since it is a subtopic to a fundamental principle which is the resistance."
"I will be frank: There are those who do not dare declare they are against resisting "Israel", and discuss disarming [the resistance] as a primer to overthrowing the resistance," he noted.
Furthermore, Sheikh Qassem stated, "We support the political agenda that restores Palestine to its people and doesn't accept the occupation's legitimacy."

"Cooperation between the resistance and [the Lebanese] government is the typical case, and we have been told of the necessity of coordination between these two, and would explain that [coordination] would be by orders from the government to the resistance to either execute or abort an operation," the Deputy General stated.
In parallel, he underscored, "Can any government in the world do that with the US, the Security Council, the European countries, and all "Israeli" sponsors in the region making calls to the [Lebanese] government to cease defense against "Israel"?"
