Head of Hizbullah's Executive Board, His Eminence Sayyed Hashem Safieddine stressed, "Our political duty is to ratify an electoral law that is better than the 1960s law that we, as most Lebanese, consider dead."

His Eminence's remarks came during a veneration ceremony for the Lebanese Saraya on the anniversary of its establishment to counter the "Israeli" entity.
Sayyed Safieddine reiterated Hizbullah's determination to adopt a better electoral law than the 60s law and to reach consensus and hold elections in due date.

Moreover, he pointed out that Americans are speaking bluntly of holding elections in any way yet hold the 1960s law at heart, underscoring that they are stalling to say that there is no solution but to hold elections by the 1960s law.

His Eminence further stated, "One of the critical topics that emerge every once in a while is the sectarian secession that we always warned of. We were not being delusional when we said that the only option left for Americans and their allies in the region is to resort to sectarianism and grasp Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen."

"We will do everything in our power to push this secession away while others must be fully aware that this is an American scheme of the first degree and a scheme for some regional countries that pay and arm people in Syria to destroy it," he added.

"Our duty is to maintain our nation, and all sects, parties, and political forces must communicate and gather to push this secession away, because there are those who seek to conjure it," His Eminence further accentuated.
