Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen in Pakistan has announced on Friday that Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS) Conference will be held at Nishtar Park at all cost on Sunday. The conference will focus on Sunni-Shiite unity and cooperation.
"We demand that restrictions should not be created in holding the Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS) Conference," said Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi, MWM's Karachi secretary general at a press conference.
Mr. Taqvi said that Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari and other Shia and Sunni religious scholars and leaders will address the Conference.
"MWM believes in Shia and Sunni unity and out vision for Pakistan is based on peace, tolerance and progress in all sectors," he said.
MWM Karachi secretary general said that the Conference would help establish peace and sanity and bring in stability in Pakistan and convey a unanimous message of condemnation for terrorists and their allies.
He condemned the targeted murders of eminent Shia scholars and professionals. "Government has failed to crush the terrorist network. Takfiri terrorists of outlawed terror groups are freely carrying out genocide of Shia Muslims and also butchering Sunnis," Allama Taqvi said.
He demanded that the killers should be arrested without any delay.
