The Parliamentary Communication Committee responsible for deliberating electoral laws held their third session led by Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri on Thursday, in which talks of the Hybrid law that the Future Movement, Communist Party, and the Lebanese Forces proposed took place.
In this context, MP Ali Fayyad stated prior to the session, "The Hybrid law proposed by March 14 forces and the National Struggle Front do not reap the desired results, and in order for this law to be acceptable, it requires drastic adjustments that provide justice and balance between sects, provinces, seats, and constituencies."
Moreover, Fayyad pointed out, "the other party had promised to study our notes on the law, and if taken into consideration, essential modifications will be made."
