Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Hussein Moussawi reiterated "May 17 agreement wanted Lebanon to recognize "Israel" as a state and to turn Lebanon into an "Israeli" ally, which leads to forgetting the Palestinian cause and denying the Palestinian people's right to return to their homes."
"Annulling this agreement led to a series of victories, chiefly the humiliating "Israeli" withdrawal on May 25, 2000...These victories proved that the resistance is Lebanon's past, present, and future," Moussawi stated.
Moreover, MP Moussawi stressed, "We are not impartial between right and wrong, since "Israel" is wrong. Lebanon cannot be impartial in facing the "Israeli" aggression that threatens our Arab and Islamic nation in its existence and resources."
"Events in the region aim at eliminating the Palestinian cause for the interest of Judaizing Palestine and attacking the deterrence and resistance axis. Now the US Administration attempts on copying this agreement by calling on known political forces to defame the resistance and reel Lebanon to political division and sectarianism," he added.
"The Resistance in Lebanon will remain strong and indifferent to slandering campaigns, since targeting the resistance and its weapon and role consolidates the Zionist US Takfiri plot that seeks to annihilate this unique phenomenon," MP Moussawi accentuated.
